Workshop “Advanced Research Data Management – kadi-apy and workflows”

The responsible and far-sighted handling of digital research data is becoming increasingly important. Management, storage, exchange and access to large amounts of data, including the corresponding metadata, is challenging. To show how research data management can be facilitated with minimum effort, POLiS Research Data Officer Satish Kolli today held a workshop on „Advanced Research Data Management – kadi-apy and workflows“ for a group of GS-EES members and POLiS affiliates in Ulm.

Management, storage, exchange and access to large amounts of data, including the corresponding metadata, is challenging. To show how research data management can be facilitated with minimum effort, POLiS Research Data Officer Satish Kolli today held a workshop on „Advanced Research Data Management – kadi-apy and workflows“ for a group of GS-EES members and POLiS affiliates in Ulm.

During the workshop, researchers not only acquired fundamental knowledge of kadi4mat – the Karlsruhe Data Infrastructure for Materials Science – they also learned how to interact programmatically with the RDM tool using Kadi API and the kadi-apy python library. Furthermore, workflows and kadistudio were illustrated to create personalized workflows for automating and standardize research procedures.
